September 6, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

This event will update the community on the status of the fungal pathogen more commonly known as Rapid ‘Ohi’a Death in the State of Hawaii and on Maui. Our speaker will be Ambyr Mokiao-Lee, the statewide outreach coordinator. She is based at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources. She will speak on the history and importance of ‘ōhi‘a and the current efforts to protect ‘ōhi‘a. For those hoping to learn more about how they can help stop the spread of ROD and spot warning signs, the session includes information about the signs and symptoms of ROD and how it is spread. While this event is free to the public, seating is limited and we ask that all who plan to attend RSVP to: friendsofkealiapond@gmail.com
