2026 Keālia Pond National Wildlife Refuge Photography Contest

 

 

Photo Contest Rules

The photo contest will begin February 14, and conclude June 1, 2026 at 12:00 PM.
A. Categories:
  1. Wildlife Animals
  2. Wildlife Plants
  3. Scenic (may include animals, plants, and people)
       Each category will have adult and youth (up to 18) winners, prizes for the top three winners in each group. If all categories have three winners, there will be a total of 18 awards. If some categories do not have 3 submissions, we may add honorable mentions up to 18 awards.
B. Criteria
  1. Entries must be received by June 1, 2026 at midnight (12 PM)
  2. All entries must have been shot in KPNWR in 2026
  3. Digital entries only, and must be a jpg, png, tiff, or comparable file, with at least 300 dpi in order to allow 8×10” enlargements (not sure what the file size would be)
  4. All entries must include:
    a. Full name of photographer
    b. Date photo taken
    c. Physical address of the photographer
    d. Email address
    e. Age if Keiki 18 and under
    f. Title of photo
    g. NO MORE than a 30-word description of the photo, can include minimal photographer info if space is available, but a description of the image is required.
    h. Photographs generated or manipulated by AI are NOT permitted.
