The contest will begin on September 1, 2026, and conclude on February 1, 2027.

Overview

• Artwork submitted in this contest may be used by the Friends of Keālia Pond National Wildlife Refuge for merchandise in our nature store, including stickers, shirts, hats, magnets, etc.
• For any illustration used, the artist will receive merchandise with their design on it.

Criteria

• Artwork must be representative of Keālia Pond. Examples could include birds (aeʻo, ʻalae keʻokeʻo, ʻaukuʻu, kōlea, ʻūlili, ʻakekeke, hunakai), plants (pōhinahina, maʻo, ʻākulikuli, kīpūkai, pōhuehue, etc.), pollinators (koa and kamehameha butterflies, nalo meli maoli), or more. We are interested in seeing your creativity, so any styles are welcome.
1. Only digital entries will be accepted. They must be a jpg, png, img, or comparable file to be received.
2. All entries must include the artist’s name, age, where they are from, a working email address, and a mailing address.
3. Entries using generative AI are NOT allowed.
